GRIFFIN AIRGUN AMMO –
.25 Caliber – Hollow Base – .250″ Diameter – Handmade From Pure Soft Lead Wire. This base allows us to get all the way down to 23 grains, opening the door for lower power guns.
These carry energy down range very well. No comparison to a standard pellet.
The hollow point on this slug is just the right size. Excellent long range flight stability, and hit with authority.
*Got to put some of these through a Hatsan Bullboss and they surprised me. Able to hold around 1″ or so at 50 yards. This gun does have a Huma reg. The gun did shoot the 25 grain pretty good, but it got better as we went up in weight with the 30 grain shooting pretty accurate at 50 yards.
* A general guide to the design of an air gun slug – With all slugs, diameter is very important. You want a snug fit. Not to tight, not to loose.
Boat tail and flat base are designed for the highest power guns.
Dish base is designed for high power guns. (my Impact loves them)
Cup base is also for high power guns but is a little more forgiving. For 30 foot pounds and up.
Pellet base is a shallow hollow base with an .020″ skirt. This is a very forgiving base.
TC Hollow base .035 skirt is for moderate to high power. In general 20 – 50 foot pound guns.
Deep Hollow base .030″ skirt is for moderate to high power guns. (this listing) For 40 foot pounds and down.
Deep Hollow base .020″ skirt is for moderate powered guns.
Deep Hollow base .010″ skirt is for moderate to low power. This one is just to fragile to ship.
* This listing is getting very good reports from several break barrel guns. The break barrels seem to love the hollow bases in all calibers.
*Posted a few videos, search you tube – Griffin Airgun Ammo (my nephew Ben) We’ll try to explain the different bases that we offer, and the logic behind them.
